Go Digital is a funding initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) that supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with digitalization. The initiative was launched in 2017 and aims to support SMEs in their transition to digital business processes and models, thereby strengthening their competitiveness.
As part of Go Digital, companies can take advantage of consulting services on the topics of IT security, online marketing and digitalized business processes. To this end, the initiative works together with specialized consulting firms that offer companies individual solutions for their respective concerns. The consulting services are financed by the BMWi with a subsidy of up to 50 percent.
Companies must meet certain requirements in order to be eligible for funding. For example, they must be based in Germany and have fewer than 100 employees. In addition, the annual turnover must not exceed 20 million euros. Applications can be submitted directly via the Go Digital website.
The Go Digital initiative makes an important contribution to promoting digitalization in small and medium-sized companies in Germany. By providing targeted support in the transition to digital business processes and models, these companies can secure and expand their competitiveness in the long term.
